IT IS FINISHED
In sin we are born … And given our breath
And then we are warned … In sin there is death
So God put in place … For his creatures to follow
The way to be saved … From a life that is shallow

The shedding of blood … Is what must happen
To cover the mud … In which we are shaped in
So a life must be given … And the blood must run
And sin is forgiven … Until again it is done

It began with a lamb … And a new dove
But lead to a man … Who was given in Love
The man was his own … In the form of his Son
Came down from his Throne … And did what was done

He gave us his life … That had not a blemish
In his side took the knife … And said “It is finished”
So your sins are forgiven … You need only believe
For your life to be driven … By Love and relieved

So this world is now ending … But you are at ease
For our God will be sending … The Prince of Peace
The wine of his wrath … For those who reject
And followed the path … That lead to their death
